Algiers, Algeria – The third edition of the International Date Palm Salon commenced today in Algiers, drawing the participation of over 150 exhibitors from both Algeria and abroad.
The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Yacine El Mahdi Oualid, officially inaugurated the event, highlighting the importance of the date palm sector to the Algerian economy. The salon serves as a platform to showcase the diverse range of date products and innovations within the industry.
Exhibitors include date producers, artisans, cooperatives, start-up companies, technical centers, and research institutions. The event provides an opportunity for these stakeholders to connect, exchange knowledge, and explore potential collaborations.
The salon aims to promote the quality and variety of Algerian dates to international markets, while also fostering innovation and sustainable practices within the date palm cultivation and processing sectors.
