Naftal has signed a commercial agreement with Italian company Prometeon to supply the Algerian market with 500,000 Pirelli tires for heavy vehicles, including trucks and buses. The signing took place at Naftal’s headquarters.
This agreement marks the second such deal in recent days, following Naftal’s earlier contract with German manufacturer Continental. This reflects a renewed dynamism in Naftal’s strategy to ensure a consistent supply of tires for heavy vehicles, a crucial component of Algeria’s transportation and logistics sectors.
During the signing ceremony, Naftal’s CEO, Djamal Cherdoud, emphasized the strategic importance of this agreement. He stated that it will enable the company to provide high-quality heavy vehicle tires at competitive prices, contributing to a reduction in current prices and curbing speculation.
Cherdoud also expressed his gratitude to public authorities for entrusting Naftal with the responsibility of securing and providing tires to Algerian citizens, supporting the national economy and meeting the needs of the domestic market, which he affirmed remains a central focus for Naftal.
Prometeon’s CEO, Yuan Liang, expressed his pride in the partnership with Naftal, assuring that the company will supply the Algerian market with Pirelli tires, recognized as some of the best and most advanced globally. He also provided an overview of Prometeon and its products, which are distributed worldwide.
Naftal affirmed that this agreement demonstrates its commitment to strengthening the supply of the national market and providing products that meet international standards. This aligns with its strategy to improve service quality and diversify offerings for its customers across Algeria.
