Algiers, November 25, 2025 – The Director-General of the National Agency for Housing Improvement and Development (AADL) announced today that over 911,000 applicants have been approved for the AADL 3 housing program.
The announcement was made during a ceremony marking the laying of the foundation stone for a project to build 1,600 housing units. This project represents the first phase of the AADL 3 program in the new urban center of February 27, 1962, located in Ain El Beida, Ouargla province.
According to the Director-General, a total of 911,908 applicants have been deemed eligible for the program following the completion of the application review process. This significant number underscores the high demand for affordable housing solutions across Algeria.
“The agency has dedicated all available material and human resources to efficiently process the applications,” stated the Director-General, highlighting the commitment of AADL to address the housing needs of Algerian citizens.
The AADL 3 program is a key component of the government’s strategy to provide decent housing for its population and to improve living conditions nationwide. The program aims to construct thousands of new housing units across the country, catering to various income levels and family sizes. The project in Ouargla province is just one example of the many initiatives underway to fulfill the objectives of AADL 3.
Further details regarding the allocation of housing units and the next steps for approved applicants are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. The AADL encourages all approved applicants to regularly check the agency’s official website and local offices for updates.
