Cairo, Egypt – Algerian Prime Minister, Sifi Grib, arrived in the Arab Republic of Egypt today, Tuesday, on an official visit. The visit coincides with the ninth session of the Joint Algerian-Egyptian High Committee for Cooperation.
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, Prime Minister Grib was received by the Egyptian Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly.
This session is being held in accordance with the directives of the President of the Republic of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his brother, the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, issued during the latter’s visit to Algeria last October. The aim is to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and historical solidarity between the two countries and their respective peoples, as well as to develop bilateral cooperation in various fields, particularly trade and investment.
DZWatch has learned that the session will witness the signing of agreements and memoranda of understanding covering several areas of cooperation. These agreements will outline a roadmap for continued joint efforts to enhance the partnership between the two nations. Key areas of focus include increasing trade volume and promoting joint ventures in strategic sectors.
The Prime Minister is accompanied on this visit by a high-level ministerial delegation including the Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and Transport, Said Sayoud; the Minister of Finance, Abderrahmane Raouya; the Minister of Industry, Yahia Bechri; the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Yacine Oualid; the Minister of Energy and Renewable Energy, Mourad Adjabi; the Minister of Housing, Urban Planning, and the City, Mohamed Tarek Belaribi; and the Minister of Vocational Training and Education, Arhab Nassima. The presence of such a large delegation underscores the importance Algeria places on strengthening its relationship with Egypt.
