The President of the Council of the Nation (Senate), Azzouz Nasseri, received the Palestinian Minister of Education, Sabri Saidam, and a member of the Fatah Central Committee, accompanied by the Palestinian Ambassador to Algeria, Fayez Abu Aita, at the Council headquarters on Tuesday.
According to a statement issued by the Council of the Nation, the meeting addressed the latest developments concerning the Palestinian cause, in light of the ongoing escalation and repeated attacks against the Palestinian people and their holy sites.
During the meeting, Senate President Nasseri reiterated Algeria’s firm and principled stance towards the Palestinian cause, in line with the directives of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who has made supporting Palestine a historical and moral commitment from which there is no turning back.
Nasseri emphasized Algeria’s continued commitment to defending the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people within various parliamentary and international bodies, and to supporting efforts to achieve Palestinian national unity and consolidate the independent state with Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital.
Minister Sabri Saidam expressed his deep gratitude for Algeria’s positions, praising its unwavering and practical support for Palestine. He affirmed that the Palestinian people consider Algeria a true and reliable supporter in the face of current challenges.
This meeting underscores Algeria’s long-standing commitment to the Palestinian cause. Algeria continues to be a vocal advocate for Palestinian rights on the international stage.
