BISKRA/ORAN – A series of serious traffic accidents occurred on several national and local roads this Wednesday morning, resulting in fatalities and injuries, according to reports from Civil Protection services.
In Biskra province, Civil Protection units responded to a fatal accident on National Road 78 near the Bréika intersection in the El Kantara municipality. The incident involved a violent collision between a passenger vehicle and a truck. Tragically, two individuals died at the scene. Their bodies were transported to the morgue. One other person sustained injuries of varying degrees and was treated at the scene before being rushed to the local hospital.
Meanwhile, in Oran province, another traffic accident was reported on Provincial Road 33 in the Messerghin municipality, Boutlélis district. This incident involved a collision between two passenger buses. The crash resulted in injuries to nine people. Civil Protection teams provided initial first aid to the injured before transporting them to the hospital for further treatment.
Authorities are currently investigating the causes of both accidents. The Civil Protection services have stated that operations are ongoing to secure the accident sites and assess the overall situation. Details are still emerging as emergency services continue their work.
