Algiers, November 26, 2025 – President Abdelmadjid Tebboune today reiterated Algeria’s unwavering and absolute support for the Palestinian people in their struggle to achieve their inalienable rights. His statement coincided with the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
President Tebboune affirmed Algeria’s principled and steadfast solidarity with the Palestinian cause, emphasizing the nation’s commitment to standing alongside the Palestinian people until they achieve all their legitimate aspirations. Central to these aspirations, he stated, is the right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
“Algeria’s support for Palestine is not conditional and will remain steadfast,” a statement from the President’s office indicated. “We stand firm in our belief that a just and lasting peace in the region can only be achieved through the full realization of the Palestinian people’s rights.”
The President’s reaffirmation underscores Algeria’s long-standing policy of supporting liberation movements and advocating for the rights of oppressed peoples worldwide. The statement serves as a powerful reminder of Algeria’s commitment to the Palestinian cause on this important international day.
This declaration reinforces Algeria’s position as a key advocate for Palestinian rights within the international community. The renewed pledge comes at a crucial time, as the Palestinian people continue to face significant challenges in their pursuit of statehood and self-governance.
