Saudi Arabia Officially Bids to Host the 2034 FIFA World Cup

The Saudi Arabian Football Federation made a significant announcement on Monday, officially submitting its bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup to the International Football Federation (FIFA).

The official Saudi Football Federation Twitter account posted on the platform “Twitter,” stating, “We have sent the official bid to host the 2034 World Cup.”

Yasser bin Hassan Al-Masahel, the Chairman of the Saudi Football Federation, said, “Last week, we revealed the Kingdom’s ambition to host the 2034 edition of the World Cup, and this letter represents the next step in our efforts to turn the dream of hosting the tournament into a reality.”

He also added that Saudi Arabia is currently focused on presenting a comprehensive proposal that showcases the country’s capabilities in organizing the tournament and welcoming football fans from around the world.

The announcement of Saudi Arabia’s intention to bid for the World Cup has received support from more than 70 football federations across different continents. These federations have officially declared their support for Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the tournament.

Saudi Arabia boasts a rich history of successfully hosting major sporting events, including football, motorsports, tennis, equestrian events, esports, and golf.
