Three Killed, Dozens Injured in West Bank Operation

Tubas, West Bank – A large-scale Israeli military operation in the Tubas Governorate of the northern West Bank has resulted in the deaths of three Palestinians and injuries to dozens more, according to reports from the region. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the operation, stating its objective is to target what they describe as “militant activity.”

The IDF reported that the operation, which began early Wednesday morning, also led to the arrest of approximately 60 Palestinians. Eyewitness accounts describe Israeli forces utilizing heavy machinery and aerial support, including helicopters and drones, during the operation.

Palestinian Red Crescent personnel are reportedly struggling to cope with the number of casualties and the displacement of families forced to evacuate their homes. Access to the injured has been hampered by the ongoing military activity, with reports of ambulances being delayed or prevented from reaching those in need.

According to Israeli media, the operation is being conducted by multiple brigades of the IDF. The stated justification for the operation is a perceived increase in attempted attacks and efforts to re-establish armed groups in the area. The IDF claims its forces are searching buildings and interrogating suspected individuals, vowing to continue the operation to “prevent terrorism and remove any security threat.”

Local sources report a complete closure of the Tubas Governorate, with strict curfews imposed on residents. The IDF has reportedly raided refugee camps and surrounding towns, turning homes into temporary military outposts. There are also reports of elderly residents being assaulted by Israeli forces.

Palestinian media sources indicate that the mayor of Tamoun was detained while attempting to provide humanitarian assistance during the ongoing raid. The situation remains tense, with concerns growing over the safety and well-being of the civilian population.
