Kuwait Charity Provides Aid to Sudanese Refugees in Chad

Adré, Chad – The Kuwait-based Tanmia Charity Association continues its humanitarian efforts under “Campaign Fayd Ata 26,” providing critical aid to Sudanese refugees in Chad. The initiative aims to alleviate the suffering of thousands displaced by ongoing conflict.

Mohammed Mardsi Al-Rashidi, Director of Humanitarian Work at the Association, stated that the field team has distributed over one thousand food baskets and established four food kitchens, benefiting approximately 8,000 individuals. These efforts are focused on addressing the immediate needs of refugees who have fled the violence in Sudan.

In addition to food aid, the Tanmia Charity Association has organized a medical camp targeting children. Approximately 1,400 children suffering from malaria and malnutrition have received treatment. Furthermore, the Association has provided essential shelter supplies to assist 1,800 displaced individuals in establishing temporary homes.

Al-Rashidi emphasized that this support is a continuation of the Association’s commitment to assisting affected communities and fulfilling its humanitarian duty in areas of crisis and conflict. The ongoing conflict in Sudan, which began in April 2023, has resulted in a dire humanitarian situation, with tens of thousands killed and an estimated 13 million people displaced. The Tanmia Charity Association’s efforts in Chad are a vital lifeline for those seeking refuge from the violence.
