Postal Ministry and Transparency Authority Sign Landmark Agreement

Algiers, November 30, 2025 – The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications and the High Authority for Transparency, Prevention, and the Fight Against Corruption have signed a framework agreement aimed at bolstering transparency and good governance within the postal sector.

According to a statement released by the Ministry, the agreement focuses on enhancing cooperation through the development of training programs for sector personnel. It will also support the creation of a comprehensive corruption risk map across all institutions affiliated with the Ministry. This initiative underscores a strong commitment to contributing to the implementation of the national strategy for transparency and corruption prevention.

During the signing ceremony, the Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Sid Ali Zerrouki, emphasized that this collaboration aligns with the President’s commitment to promoting ethical conduct in public life, reinforcing integrity, and combating all forms of corruption and favoritism.

Minister Zerrouki stated that the sector is actively “adopting the best national and international mechanisms for sound management.” He highlighted several measures already underway, including the establishment of a ministerial committee dedicated to corruption prevention and combating corruption, the implementation of a system to prevent conflicts of interest, and the launch of an electronic portal to streamline the handling of petitions, ensuring ease of submission and rapid processing.

Furthermore, he pointed to the recent organization of the first digital recruitment competition at the level of Algérie Poste, a move designed to uphold the principle of equal opportunity. The Ministry is also developing a code of conduct for its employees to instill values of integrity and responsibility. These initiatives reflect a proactive approach to fostering a culture of transparency and accountability within the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications.
