OPEC+ Reviews Compliance with Voluntary Production Cuts

Algiers, Algeria – Algeria participated in a series of key ministerial meetings held via videoconference within the framework of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and the OPEC+ alliance on Sunday, November 30, 2025. Delegates discussed strategic matters pertaining to the organization’s management and the stability of global oil markets.

The 192nd OPEC Conference saw ministers and representatives from the twelve member nations convene to assess the General Secretariat’s performance throughout 2025. Discussions focused on preparing the organization’s priorities for the upcoming year, with particular emphasis on medium- and long-term perspectives for the oil market.

Algeria also took part in the 63rd Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) meeting, which includes pivotal OPEC and OPEC+ nations. Committee members, including Algeria, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Kuwait, Nigeria, Venezuela, Kazakhstan, and Russia, reviewed compliance levels with voluntary production cuts for the months of September and October 2025.

The committee lauded the commitment of producing nations, underscoring that adherence to agreed-upon decisions remains fundamental to ensuring market balance and supporting global price stability. During the special session of the 40th OPEC and non-OPEC Ministerial Meeting, participants addressed the current state of the oil market and future projections.

The 22 OPEC+ member nations reaffirmed their shared determination to confront economic challenges by strengthening coordination and adopting balanced production policies. A new mechanism for evaluating sustainable production capacities was also approved, which will serve as the primary reference for determining production levels starting in 2027.

Algeria concluded its participation in a meeting involving the eight nations concerned with voluntary production adjustments: Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Oman, and Russia. The meeting reaffirmed the decision to increase production.
