Algiers, November 1, 2025 – Ooredoo Algeria has extended its warmest congratulations to the Algerian people on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the outbreak of the glorious War of Liberation, commemorating the pivotal date of November 1st.
A symbolic ceremony was held at the company’s headquarters in Ouled Fayet to mark the occasion. The event was attended by the General Manager, Mr. Rony Tohme, along with all the company’s executives, managers, and teams. Participants observed a minute of silence in remembrance of the martyrs of the revolution, followed by the raising of the national flag and the playing of the national anthem.
According to a statement released by Ooredoo, this historic anniversary embodies the spirit of courage, sacrifice, and determination, and reflects the values of unity and resilience that continue to inspire current and future generations.

Ooredoo launched a short film scenario competition in July, aimed at enthusiasts of Algerian cinema and history. Following weeks of filming and judging, the winning entry will premiere in conjunction with the 71st anniversary celebrations, the statement added.
