Adrar and In Guezzam, Algeria – In a significant development, two terrorists have surrendered to military authorities in Adrar and In Guezzam, according to reports. The individuals, identified as “A.A.”, known as “Abu Jaafar”, and “H.CH.”, known as “El Sherif”, turned themselves in to the Algerian People’s National Army.
The surrenders occurred during the period between November 26th and December 2nd, 2025, as part of ongoing counter-terrorism operations. According to operational summaries released by the military, the two terrorists surrendered with a significant cache of weapons. This included one machine gun and three Kalashnikov-type submachine guns, along with a quantity of ammunition and other supplies.
DZWatch has learned that in addition to the surrenders, Algerian army detachments have apprehended four individuals suspected of providing support to terrorist groups. These arrests were made during separate operations conducted across the country.
