Apple has released an update to address the overheating issue with the latest generation of the “iPhone 15 Pro,” according to the American electronics company.

The company stated that the operating system update, “iOS,” also includes security enhancements. This comes after Apple acknowledged earlier this week that some iPhone users were experiencing unusual overheating due to a software issue within the operating system.

The company explained that the new version of the operating system (17.0.3) will resolve the problem that could lead to increased phone temperatures. They emphasized that this update is currently available to all “iPhone 15 Pro” users.

Apple mentioned that the updated version can be obtained through the phone’s technical support service.

Apple attributed the temperature increase issue to a software bug in the “iOS 17” operating system, which could cause elevated temperatures in certain cases. Additionally, other applications like Instagram and Uber may also contribute to increased phone temperatures.

It’s worth noting that reports of iPhone temperature increases raised speculations about problems with the new titanium casing or the new chip included in the new generation of iPhones.

On their part, Apple stressed that the titanium casing ensures better heat management and that the new processor will not experience any performance slowdown while addressing the temperature issue.
