Terrorists Surrender, Support Cell Dismantled in Algeria

Algiers – In a week marked by intensified counter-terrorism efforts, two terrorists surrendered to military authorities in Adrar and In Guezzam, while Algerian People’s National Army (ANP) units apprehended four individuals providing support to terrorist groups. These operations, conducted across the national territory between November 26th and December 2nd, highlight the ongoing commitment to security and stability in Algeria.

According to an operational report released today, the surrenders and arrests are the result of focused intelligence gathering and proactive military deployments. The two terrorists who turned themselves in are currently undergoing interrogation, and their identities are being withheld pending further investigation. Authorities are working to determine the extent of their involvement in terrorist activities and gather information about potential networks.

The four individuals arrested for supporting terrorist groups are accused of providing logistical assistance, including supplies and information. Their apprehension is expected to disrupt the operational capabilities of these groups and further weaken their ability to carry out attacks. The ANP remains vigilant and is committed to pursuing and neutralizing any remaining threats.

These successes underscore the effectiveness of the Algerian military’s strategy in combating terrorism. The ANP’s dedication to securing the nation’s borders and protecting its citizens is unwavering. Ongoing operations and enhanced security measures are in place to prevent future terrorist activities and maintain peace and stability throughout Algeria.

The Ministry of National Defense has reaffirmed its commitment to eradicating terrorism in all its forms and ensuring the safety and security of the Algerian people. The ANP continues to work tirelessly to achieve this goal.
