Blida’s security services have intensified their operations to combat criminal networks and neighborhood gangs that threaten the safety and security of citizens. As part of this ongoing effort, a large-scale raid was conducted across various locations within the province.
A targeted operation was carried out in the Bouinan district, involving various operational units of the Blida Security Command. The operation focused on individuals suspected of involvement in crimes such as armed assault, theft, possession of narcotics and psychotropic substances, as well as those associated with neighborhood gangs attempting to terrorize residential areas.
The operation, which included the execution of search warrants and arrest warrants in coordination with the relevant prosecutor’s office, resulted in the arrest of 12 individuals. Among those arrested are suspects with prior criminal records. Authorities also seized various bladed weapons of different sizes and types, a variety of psychotropic substances, cannabis, and sums of money suspected to be proceeds from drug trafficking.
DZWatch has learned that judicial files have been opened against the detainees, who will be presented before the Public Prosecutor of the Boufarik Court on charges related to forming neighborhood gangs. These actions underscore the ongoing security efforts aimed at protecting the population and ensuring the safety and security of residential neighborhoods.
The Blida Security Command reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining public order and combating all forms of crime within the province. Further details will be provided as they become available.
