The Civil Protection services recorded a staggering 3,464 interventions across the nation in the last 24 hours, averaging one intervention every 25 seconds. These interventions addressed a wide range of incidents and emergencies.

Traffic Accidents Cause Casualties: A significant portion of these interventions involved traffic accidents. Civil Protection teams responded to 170 traffic incidents, resulting in 262 injuries and, tragically, 7 fatalities. These figures underscore the ongoing efforts of the Civil Protection to provide rapid response and first aid to those affected, ensuring road safety for all citizens.

Carbon Monoxide Poisoning: A Silent Threat: Authorities also reported 4 interventions related to carbon monoxide poisoning. These incidents led to 7 cases of poisoning and 2 deaths. The Civil Protection is strongly urging citizens to exercise extreme caution within their homes, especially when using heating appliances. Proper ventilation and regular maintenance of heating systems are crucial steps in preventing the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning.
