Israeli Fire Kills Three, Heavy Shelling Hits Gaza

Three Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire in the Gaza Strip, as the region witnessed a surge in military activity early Saturday. Israeli forces conducted explosions targeting residential buildings east of the al-Tuffah neighborhood, Beit Lahia, and al-Bureij refugee camp.

Medical sources at al-Shifa Hospital confirmed the deaths of three Palestinians due to Israeli military fire outside the designated “Yellow Line” in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza Strip.

Israeli aircraft launched multiple airstrikes on areas east of Rafah and Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip. Simultaneously, artillery shelling targeted areas east of Khan Yunis and Gaza City in the north.

Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli military vehicles opened fire with heavy machine guns towards areas northeast of Khan Yunis. Loud explosions were heard in several neighborhoods as the Israeli military carried out demolitions of residential buildings east of the al-Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City, east of Beit Lahia in the northern part of the Strip, and in the al-Bureij camp in the central region.

Israeli military vehicles stationed east of Gaza City launched flares over the al-Tuffah neighborhood, coinciding with artillery shelling in the surrounding area.

In the central Gaza Strip, eyewitnesses confirmed at least one Israeli airstrike east of al-Maghazi refugee camp, with no confirmed reports of casualties.

Reports indicate that explosions were heard in central Israel, attributed to military operations within the Gaza Strip. In the Shuja’iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, buildings were reportedly detonated inside the “Yellow Line.” Two Palestinians were also injured by Israeli drone fire in the al-Faluja area of the Jabalia refugee camp.

Witnesses also reported that Israeli artillery targeted the Shuja’iyya neighborhood Friday evening, coinciding with intense drone activity over the area.

These events occur amid growing anticipation of a potential transition to the next phase of the ceasefire agreement.
