OIC Condemns Attempts to Displace Palestinians

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has voiced its strong rejection and condemnation of statements seemingly aimed at forcibly displacing Palestinians from the Gaza Strip. The OIC released a statement Saturday, December 6, 2025, asserting its firm stance against any such actions.

The OIC specifically addressed concerns regarding proposals to open the Rafah crossing in a one-way direction, which it fears could be used to facilitate the forced transfer of Palestinian residents out of Gaza. The organization emphasized that such forced displacement constitutes a war crime and a severe violation of international law and international humanitarian law.

“Any attempt to forcibly displace the Palestinian population from their homes is not only a grave injustice but also a direct assault on their fundamental human rights,” a spokesperson for the OIC stated. “The international community has a responsibility to prevent such atrocities and to ensure the protection of the Palestinian people.”

The OIC’s statement underscores the organization’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and its commitment to defending the rights of the Palestinian people. The organization has consistently called for a just and lasting resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, based on international law and relevant United Nations resolutions.

The OIC has also urged the international community to take immediate action to prevent any further escalation of the conflict and to provide humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people in Gaza. The organization reiterated its call for a comprehensive ceasefire and a return to meaningful negotiations aimed at achieving a two-state solution.

The OIC remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting the Palestinian people in their pursuit of self-determination and a just and lasting peace.
