Algiers, Algeria – President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has urged participants at the 4th African Conference on Emerging Enterprises to engage in in-depth discussions aimed at building a continental framework capable of supporting and expanding entrepreneurship across Africa.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, delivered on his behalf by Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui, President Tebboune emphasized Algeria’s commitment to fostering continental cooperation based on sustainability and effectiveness. He highlighted the nation’s pride in hosting the event, which brings together entrepreneurs from across the continent in a hub designed to spark innovation and collaboration.
President Tebboune asserted that Africa possesses abundant human resources capable of driving economic transformation and empowering entrepreneurial initiatives. He described the conference as a vital opportunity for exchanging expertise and advancing the entrepreneurial sector across the continent. He expressed his confidence that the conference would yield tangible results that support young people and propel the continent’s development towards broader horizons.
President Tebboune emphasized that the conference theme, “Celebrating African Entrepreneurs,” is not merely a title but a clear message reflecting the capabilities of African youth to transform challenges into opportunities, ideas into projects, and ambitions into a knowledge and innovation-based economic reality.
He added that the conference embodies the spirit of an ambitious Africa, aiming to inspire a new generation of globally competitive entrepreneurs and strengthen the continent’s technological and economic sovereignty. He noted the record participation in this edition, with over 25,000 attendees, more than 40 ministerial delegations, 200 exhibitors, and 150 international investors and experts in innovation and entrepreneurship.
“These figures are not just statistics; they are evidence that this event has become an incubator for emerging enterprises and that our vision for building an innovative Africa resonates widely with our partners on the continent and beyond,” President Tebboune stated.
The President affirmed that the conference reflects Algeria’s desire to be a leading destination for innovation and economic integration in Africa.
