In his Friday sermon at the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Imam Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid called upon Muslims to hold up the children of Palestine as role models for their own offspring. He emphasized their courage and resilience in the face of adversity.
Sheikh bin Humaid stated that Palestinian children, through their actions, embody true bravery. He highlighted their steadfastness against what he described as a ‘tyrannical Zionist enemy’ and their refusal to surrender despite facing overwhelming force.
The sermon focused on the importance of instilling values of courage and honor in the younger generation. Sheikh bin Humaid stressed the need to cultivate high aspirations in children, encouraging them to uphold their heritage, preserve their faith, and take pride in their identity and values.
‘Let the children of Palestine be a positive example from which your children can learn manhood and the attitudes of heroes against the oppressive Zionist enemy,’ the Imam stated powerfully.
He further asserted that the sacrifices of martyrs, the unwavering stances of brave men, and the steadfast resilience of the Palestinian people will, God willing, inspire strong spirits and hearts that reject subjugation. He affirmed that Palestine and Jerusalem will remain at the heart of the Arab and Muslim world.
Sheikh bin Humaid’s sermon resonated deeply with the congregation, underscoring the enduring connection between Muslims worldwide and the Palestinian cause. His words served as a call to action, urging parents to nurture courage, resilience, and a strong sense of identity in their children.
