On the humanitarian front, the recent cold wave and heavy rains brought by the ‘Byron’ weather system have exacerbated the already dire conditions for residents in the Gaza Strip, particularly in areas that have sustained heavy Israeli bombardment. These vulnerable structures are unable to withstand the harsh weather, further compounding the suffering of residents who lack adequate shelter.
