Setif: Two Dead in Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Incident

Setif, Algeria – Tragedy struck in Setif this morning as two individuals succumbed to carbon monoxide poisoning. The incident, stemming from a faulty heating appliance, has once again highlighted the dangers of improper heater usage.

Civil Protection services reported responding to an emergency call at 9:05 AM local time, reporting a poisoning incident in the November 1st Street neighborhood of El Eulma. Upon arrival, first responders discovered two victims, a man and a woman, estimated to be around 70 and 80 years old respectively. Both were found deceased, having succumbed to carbon monoxide inhalation.

The bodies of the deceased have been transported to the local hospital’s morgue. Authorities are strongly urging citizens to exercise extreme caution and adhere to safety regulations when operating heating devices. Proper ventilation is crucial to prevent similar, heartbreaking incidents.
