Chadian President Sends Message to Tebboune Amid Strengthening Ties

Algiers – The Prime Minister received the Chadian Minister of Petroleum, Mines, and Geology, Ndolenodji Alixe Naïmbaye, earlier today at the Government Palace. The Minister delivered a handwritten message from the President of Chad, Mahamat Idriss Déby, to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

The meeting served as an opportunity to reaffirm the deep-rooted fraternal and solidarity ties between Algeria and Chad. Both parties exchanged views on ways to expand bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of hydrocarbons, energy, and mining, in order to serve the mutual interests of both nations.

During the discussions, the Chadian Minister expressed her satisfaction with the results of her visit to Algeria. She lauded Algeria’s expertise in the energy and mining sectors and emphasized her country’s desire to benefit from this experience and build an effective and sustainable partnership between the two sides.

The Prime Minister reiterated Algeria’s readiness to support Chad in its efforts to develop its hydrocarbons, energy, and mining sectors, and to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields. This commitment embodies the shared vision of the leaders of both countries, as emphasized during their meeting last September on the sidelines of the Intra-African Trade Fair held in Algiers.

Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, was also present at the meeting, further underscoring Algeria’s commitment to strengthening African cooperation and supporting South-South partnerships.

This development signals a continued strengthening of Algerian-Chadian relations, with a focus on strategic partnerships in key economic sectors.
