Algiers – Kamal Moula has been re-elected as head of Algeria’s Economic Renewal Council (CREA) for a new three-year term, securing a resounding majority in the recent general assembly. This reaffirms the confidence placed in Moula’s leadership and the CREA’s crucial role in supporting economic actors and bolstering national economic development.
The general assembly was marked by the presence of the Minister of Labour, Employment, and Social Security, Abdelhak Saihi, along with the Director-General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency and numerous Algerian business leaders. This high-level attendance underscored the strategic importance of the CREA as a platform for dialogue between public authorities and economic stakeholders.
The assembly, held at the Abdellatif Rahal International Conference Centre, further highlighted the CREA’s significant position within the national economic landscape. The event commenced with the Algerian national anthem, followed by a documentary showcasing the CREA’s key achievements since its establishment. The documentary also emphasized the performance indicators of the national industrial sector under Moula’s previous term, highlighting its contribution to investment law and the integration of industrialists into the national economy.
The CREA serves as a vital platform for raising economic concerns and proposing practical solutions. The council plays a key role in representing Algerian economic operators, addressing their challenges, and contributing practical suggestions. This is geared towards strengthening strategic partnerships between the public and private sectors, ultimately serving the interests of the national economy. Furthermore, the CREA aims to accelerate technology transfer and foster the development of a knowledge-based economy.
Moula’s re-election signals a continued commitment to economic renewal and a focus on strengthening Algeria’s economic future.
