Gendarmerie Issues Public Appeal in Fraud Investigation

Algiers, December 17, 2025 – The National Gendarmerie has issued a public appeal for information related to an ongoing fraud investigation. The Regional Group of the National Gendarmerie in Algiers announced today the arrest of a suspect identified as (B, M, F) by the Research and Investigation Service of the National Gendarmerie in Algiers.

According to a statement released by the Gendarmerie, the individual is suspected of multiple counts of fraud and deception targeting the public. The suspect allegedly exploited his position as the head of an organization called “Youth Echo Forum.” Further accusations include impersonating a public official and issuing falsified documents to facilitate the establishment of childcare facilities.

The falsified documents are described as authentic certificates that falsely attested to specific material facts, including permits for the establishment of facilities for receiving children.

Given the nature and scope of the alleged crimes, the Regional Group of the National Gendarmerie in Algiers is urging anyone or any organization that may have fallen victim to the aforementioned individual to come forward. Victims are encouraged to file a complaint or provide testimony regarding this case.

Individuals with information are asked to contact the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Cheraga Court, the headquarters of the Research and Investigation Service of the National Gendarmerie in Algiers, or the nearest National Gendarmerie station throughout the national territory.

The Gendarmerie assures that all information received will be treated with the utmost confidentiality as part of the ongoing investigation.
