Algeria’s National Team Arrives in Morocco for AFCON Preparations

The Algerian national football team arrived in Morocco this evening, Friday, in preparation for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025. The arrival was smooth and well-organized, with the entire team delegation present.

The delegation, led by the President of the Algerian Football Federation (FAF), Walid Sadi, included the technical and medical staff, as well as all players, spearheaded by team captain Riyad Mahrez.

The team landed in Morocco at approximately 7:20 PM Algerian time. The weather conditions are reportedly similar to those in Algeria, which should aid the players in acclimating quickly before the start of the continental competition.

The team is scheduled to begin preparations for their opening match tomorrow, Saturday. They are aiming for a strong start to the tournament.

The ‘Fennecs’, under the guidance of coach Vladimir Petkovic, are gearing up to face Sudan on December 24th in their first group stage match. The team is focused and determined to perform well in the tournament.
