Israeli Raids Across West Bank: Teen Shot, Multiple Arrests

Israeli forces conducted a series of raids across the occupied West Bank on Saturday, resulting in injuries and arrests. A Palestinian teenager was shot and critically wounded during clashes in the Ramallah area, while several others were detained in separate operations.

According to reports, the 16-year-old was struck in the head by live ammunition during a raid on the village of Qarawat Bani Zeid, northwest of Ramallah. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society confirmed the injury, stating the teenager’s condition is serious. Witnesses reported that Israeli forces fired live rounds, stun grenades, and tear gas during the incursion.

Similar raids were carried out in the Ramallah-area towns of Kobar, Deir Jarir, Deir Ghassaneh, and Al-Mughayyir, triggering confrontations and heavy use of tear gas and gunfire by Israeli soldiers.

In the town of Al-Zawiya, west of Salfit, Israeli troops raided several homes, ransacking their contents and arresting one young man. Local sources reported that Israeli soldiers assaulted Iyad Abdel Halim, who required medical treatment at a local clinic.

The sources added that Mohammad Shqeir, son of the mayor of Al-Zawiya, was arrested after Israeli forces raided his family home.

In the southern West Bank, Israeli forces stormed the town of Al-Carmel, south of Hebron, and arrested Montaser Abu Aram, a recently released prisoner, after searching his house. Additionally, Muath Ibrahim Nassar was detained from the town of Dura, southwest of Hebron, following a search of his home.

These raids are part of near-daily incursions by Israeli forces into West Bank cities and towns, often resulting in arrests and injuries under the pretext of pursuing wanted individuals.

Since the start of the conflict in Gaza, over 1,100 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank by Israeli forces and settlers, with approximately 11,000 injured and over 21,000 arrested, according to Palestinian data.
