The Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI) has signed an amendment to an investment agreement, extending the completion benefits period for the IMEDIC multi-specialty hospital project in Blida. The extension, granted for one non-renewable year, aims to facilitate the timely completion of this crucial healthcare facility.

The signing ceremony took place at the AAPI headquarters, under the supervision of the Director-General, Omar Rekkache, and in the presence of Professor Farid Chaoui, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SPA INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL COMPLIANCE-IMEDIC, and Boualem Cherchali, Director of Proximity Health Structures at the Ministry of Health.

Registered in 2018, the IMEDIC hospital project is a key component of efforts to strengthen and develop the health infrastructure in the Blida region. The project focuses on the completion of a multi-specialty hospital with a capacity of 190 beds, located in the municipality of Beni Merad.

This vital project is expected to significantly enhance healthcare services in the area. Beyond its healthcare contributions, the IMEDIC hospital is projected to create approximately 600 direct jobs, highlighting the significant economic and social impact of investments in the health sector.

The extension underscores the government’s commitment to supporting strategic investments that contribute to improving public health and boosting the local economy. The AAPI’s continued support for the IMEDIC project demonstrates its role in facilitating and promoting investments that align with the nation’s development goals.
