Algerian Army Seizes Over 400kg of Drugs at Moroccan Border

Algiers – Joint detachments of the People’s National Army (ANP), in coordination with various security services, have successfully thwarted attempts to smuggle over 400 kilograms of treated cannabis across the border with Morocco. The operations, conducted between December 17th and 23rd across various military regions, also resulted in the seizure of over one million psychotropic tablets.

According to an operational report released by the ANP on Wednesday, the coordinated efforts demonstrate the army’s unwavering commitment to combating cross-border crime and protecting national security. The report detailed the vigilance and efficiency of the joint forces in intercepting the illicit drug trafficking attempts.
