Boden, Sweden – Swedish police have confirmed a fatal shooting incident in the northern town of Boden, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to others. The incident unfolded after police were called to a residence to investigate a suspected assault.
According to a statement released by the police, officers responded to reports of a man in his twenties attacking residents inside a home with a weapon. During an attempt to apprehend the suspect, police discharged their firearms, resulting in the man’s death. Inside the residence, authorities discovered the body of a 55-year-old woman.
Two other individuals sustained injuries during the attack and were immediately transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. The extent of their injuries remains undisclosed at this time. Initial reports indicated that the police were investigating a serious incident in Boden. Local media outlets reported that several individuals had been hospitalized.

This incident follows a previous shooting in April, where three people were killed and several others injured at a barbershop in Uppsala, near Stockholm. Sweden also experienced a mass shooting in February, which resulted in the deaths of 11 people, including the perpetrator.
