December 26, 2025 – Numerous provinces across Algeria are experiencing heavy rainfall and significant snowfall today, according to the National Meteorological Office.
A level-one weather alert has been issued, indicating substantial precipitation across a wide geographical area. The provinces affected by heavy rainfall include: Algiers, Sidi Bel Abbes, Souk Ahras, Tipaza, Tissemsilt, Laghouat, Relizane, Tiaret, Mila, Oum El Bouaghi, Tebessa, Guelma, Mostaganem, Annaba, Ain Temouchent, Djelfa, Tlemcen, Constantine, Skikda, El Bayadh, Jijel, Biskra, El Tarf, Saida, Boumerdes, Mascara, and Oran.
The rainfall is expected to continue throughout the day. Residents in these areas are advised to exercise caution and take necessary precautions.
In addition to the rainfall, a special weather bulletin highlights continued snowfall in several eastern provinces. The provinces of Setif, Batna, and Khenchela are expected to receive snowfall accumulations of up to 15 centimeters.
Authorities are monitoring the situation closely and urging citizens to stay informed about weather updates and advisories.
