Israeli occupation forces have imposed a curfew on the town of Qabatiya, located north of the West Bank. The move comes as the military continues its extensive military campaign for a second consecutive day following an attack inside 1948 territories in the Beisan and Afula regions. The attack resulted in the deaths of two Israelis and injuries to others.
According to local sources, Israeli forces have stormed numerous homes in Qabatiya, arresting dozens of Palestinians after conducting field interrogations. A school in the town has reportedly been converted into a military barracks and detention center. Reports also indicate damage to local infrastructure and power outages in several neighborhoods.
The Israeli military has identified the perpetrator of the Beisan attack as Ahmed Abu Al-Rub from Qabatiya. Forces raided his family home, arresting his father and forcibly displacing the family. Furthermore, engineering measurements were taken at the site, suggesting preparations for the demolition of the house.
Eyewitness accounts detail the arrival of Israeli military reinforcements and bulldozers in Qabatiya, south of Jenin. Damage has been inflicted on power lines, and earthen barriers have been erected, effectively sealing off the town’s entrances. Wide-scale raids and field investigations have targeted Palestinian homes, including the family residence of the Beisan attack perpetrator.
The father of the alleged perpetrator has been detained by Israeli forces. He is originally from Qabatiya, in the Jenin district of the West Bank.
In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces stormed the town of Anata, northeast of the city, early this morning. Live ammunition, stun grenades, and tear gas were fired towards Palestinian residents before commercial properties were raided. Surveillance cameras were confiscated, and one young man was arrested.
Additionally, Israeli forces raided the town of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah. An unfinished residential building was seized and transformed into a military outpost, with surveillance cameras installed on its roof.
Palestinian sources have also documented instances of settlers releasing their livestock onto Palestinian land and near residential areas in the Al-Khalael area of Al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah.
Since the commencement of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, there has been a marked increase in attacks by both the Israeli army and settlers in the occupied West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem. These actions have resulted in the deaths of at least 1103 Palestinians.
