Business Incubators Generate DZD 2.8 Billion in Revenue

Algiers, December 29, 2025 – Algerian business incubators have generated DZD 2.8 billion in revenue, according to recent figures released during the National Conference on Scientific and Technological Institutions. The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamal Baddari, oversaw the conference, highlighting the growing integration of research institutions into the nation’s economic and productive sectors.

Minister Baddari emphasized the establishment of 80 executive partnerships based on innovative projects. These collaborations aim to bridge the gap between academic research and real-world economic applications, fostering a dynamic ecosystem for innovation and growth.

Furthermore, the ministry has documented and registered 539 research findings in the National Valorization Registry, including 127 technical and service products derived from these research outcomes. This signifies a substantial effort to translate scientific discoveries into tangible goods and services that benefit the Algerian economy.

A key aspect of this initiative is strengthening partnerships with the economic sector. This has led to the creation of 77 permanent mixed research teams, facilitating collaboration between researchers and industry professionals. The DZD 2.8 billion in investment attracted by research business incubators underscores the success of these partnerships and the growing confidence in Algerian innovation.

The integration of research institutions into economic projects has resulted in 80 operational partnerships built around groundbreaking initiatives. The monitoring and registration of 539 research outputs in the national valorization register, including 127 technical and service products derived from these results, further demonstrates the tangible impact of this strategy.

These developments mark a significant step forward in Algeria’s efforts to leverage its scientific and technological capabilities for economic diversification and sustainable development.
