China’s position on the Palestinian issue remains steadfast and unchanged: a genuine, comprehensive, and lasting ceasefire is paramount. China supports the principle of ‘Palestinians governing Palestine,’ the two-state solution, and working with the international community for a just and lasting resolution to the Palestinian issue.
China’s supportive stance and active contributions to building international consensus have garnered significant praise from Middle Eastern nations and widespread support from the international community. Its solutions and peaceful approach have been lauded as constructive and helpful.
As a permanent member of the UN Security Council and a responsible major power, China has consistently promoted peaceful resolutions to the Palestinian issue. Since the recent escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, China has issued statements on numerous occasions within the United Nations, expressing unwavering support for the Palestinian cause. In 2025 alone, China has championed the Palestinian cause nearly 30 times in the UN Security Council.
Abbas Zaki, a member of the Fatah Central Committee, stated that China maintains a clear position regarding the Palestinian people and their just cause. He added that China has spared no effort in supporting the right of return, the right to self-determination, and the establishment of a Palestinian state. He noted China’s significant impact through its continuous calls and practical proposals aimed at halting the conflict.
Hassan Al-Duaja, a professor of strategic studies at Al-Hussein Bin Talal University in Jordan, emphasized China’s pivotal role in the Palestinian issue, highlighting its balanced and fair stance.
