Pentagon Awards Boeing $8.6 Billion F-15 Contract for Israel

The U.S. Department of Defense, the Pentagon, has announced an $8.6 billion contract awarded to Boeing for the Israeli F-15 program. The announcement follows a recent meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Florida.

According to the Pentagon’s statement, the contract covers the design, integration, equipment, testing, production, and delivery of 25 new F-15IA aircraft for the Israeli Air Force. The agreement also includes an option for the purchase of an additional 25 F-15IA aircraft.

This contract is part of the Foreign Military Sales program. The work will be performed at Boeing’s facilities in St. Louis, Missouri, and is expected to be completed by December 31, 2035.

The announcement comes amid ongoing scrutiny of U.S. military aid to Israel, particularly in light of the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip and the indictment of Benjamin Netanyahu by the International Criminal Court on war crime charges.

This contract represents one of the largest U.S. military deals with Israel in recent years. It underscores Washington’s commitment to bolstering the capabilities of its key ally in the region. The deal reaffirms the strong military ties between the United States and Israel, despite growing public opposition within the U.S. to arms support during the Gaza conflict.
