Algiers – National team goalkeeper Oussama Benbot has affirmed his readiness to take to the field should coach Vladimir Petkovic call upon him for the upcoming match against Equatorial Guinea.
Speaking to reporters following preparations for the Equatorial Guinea encounter, Benbot expressed optimism and determination within the squad. “The atmosphere is fantastic after securing qualification. We are preparing diligently to build upon our victory against Burkina Faso,” he stated.
The goalkeeper emphasized his commitment to the team, regardless of his role. “Whether I’m in the starting lineup or on the bench, I am ready to play and bring joy to the Algerian people,” Benbot declared.
Benbot, who plays for USM Alger, also highlighted the strong camaraderie among the goalkeepers in the national team. “We have a great group. We goalkeepers are like brothers, and we wish the best for whoever starts,” he explained.
When asked about potential opponents in the next round, Benbot remained unfazed. “Whether it’s Senegal or Congo, it doesn’t matter. We welcome any opponent,” he concluded. The team is focused and prepared to face any challenge on their path.
