President Tebboune Reaffirms Commitment to Political Dialogue

Algiers, December 30, 2025 – President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has reiterated his commitment to engaging in constructive political dialogue with Algeria’s various political parties. The President made the announcement during a speech delivered to the nation before a joint session of Parliament at the Palais des Nations.

“We have pledged to address the proud Algerian people through you, which reflects the political will that we will not deviate from in the strict implementation of our commitments since I was honored with the trust of the generous people,” President Tebboune stated.

He emphasized the continuity of his promise: “From this platform, I committed to a political dialogue with the parties, and I remain committed to it, as I have stated and explained to some party leaders whom I have received.”

President Tebboune further indicated that the dialogue would commence following parliamentary approval of the new law on political parties. He expressed optimism regarding the process, stating that the dialogue “will be constructive.”

The President firmly committed to “implementing everything that is agreed upon with the parties,” underscoring the seriousness of his intentions and the potential for tangible outcomes from the upcoming discussions.

This announcement signals a renewed effort by the government to foster greater inclusivity and collaboration in the political sphere, as Algeria navigates its path forward.
