Algiers, December 30, 2025 – The National Democratic Rally (RND) has announced its full and responsible commitment to the reform process led by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, describing his address to the nation before Parliament as a “historic political milestone” characterized by courage and candor.
In a statement released today, the RND praised the President’s use of frank language regarding certain imbalances, particularly in the meat production sector. The party believes that calling things by their names demonstrates the seriousness of the presidential approach to protecting food security and addressing areas of deficiency.
On the social front, the RND lauded President Tebboune’s firm commitment to protecting purchasing power and maintaining social support policies, as well as raising wages. The party highlighted this as a commitment to continuing to improve income and create jobs as a strategic option for the state, in addition to economic transformation by valuing unprecedented investment figures and supporting emerging institutions to move away from “rentier dependence.”
The RND also reaffirmed its alignment with the President’s positions on just causes, foremost among them the Palestinian cause and the rejection of normalization.
Furthermore, the party acknowledged the “unity of destiny” with neighboring Tunisia, emphasizing that the stability of Tunisia is an integral part of Algeria’s security, while rejecting any attempts to disrupt the fraternal relations between the two countries.
The statement concluded that the National Democratic Rally is placing all its capabilities at the service of accompanying these reforms, which enshrine good governance and link power to accountability, serving the higher interest of the nation. This commitment underscores the RND’s dedication to national progress and stability.
