Algiers, Algeria – The Algiers Metro Company (EMA) has announced an extension of its operating hours for New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2025, to accommodate revelers celebrating the arrival of 2026.
In an official statement released today, EMA confirmed that metro services will run until 1:00 AM on January 1, 2026. This extension aims to facilitate the safe and convenient transportation of citizens during the New Year’s Eve festivities, allowing them to enjoy the celebrations without transportation concerns.
“This measure reflects our commitment to providing a safe, comfortable, and reliable public transportation service,” stated an EMA spokesperson. “We are dedicated to ensuring the smooth operation of all metro lines while adhering to the highest safety standards, particularly given the anticipated surge in ridership on New Year’s Eve.”
