Algeria Prioritizes Digital Transformation with New Initiatives

Algiers – The Algerian government convened on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, under the leadership of Prime Minister Sifi Ghrib, to address strategic files related to development, digital transformation, and the monitoring of major public projects.

A key focus of the meeting was the presentation of a detailed plan for developing a comprehensive social map of Algeria. This initiative aims to create a practical tool to support informed decision-making through an integrated system of planning, coordination, and monitoring. The project is designed to more effectively direct public policies and financial resources toward priority development programs at both the national and local levels, thereby enhancing social justice and improving the targeting of specific demographics.

The government continued its examination of various projects aligned with the national digital transformation strategy, following directives from the President. Progress on the digitization of ministerial sectors was discussed, with a focus on promoting transparency, combating bureaucracy, and facilitating fair and efficient access to information and public services.

A central element of the digital transformation efforts is the proposed national digital services portal, “Dzair Digital Services.” This platform aims to organize and unify digital public services offered to citizens, improving the quality and efficiency of these services while simplifying administrative procedures through a single point of access. The “Dzair Digital Services” portal is also expected to enhance digital interactions between government agencies, fostering a clearer and more accurate view of public policies and strengthening institutional coordination.

Finally, the government reviewed the progress of several major public projects, particularly those related to the construction of urban centers, sports facilities, road infrastructure, and the modernization of Algerian airspace management, all aimed at improving infrastructure and supporting sustainable development.
