The Israeli military revealed today that it conducted approximately 21,000 air raids and 430 military operations across Palestine and other countries in the region during 2025. This unprecedented escalation of violence has resulted in hundreds of fatalities and widespread destruction.
According to the military’s annual report for 2025, the operations targeted areas within the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, as well as Lebanon, Syria, Iran, and Yemen. The report details that 20,900 air raids were launched in addition to the 430 military operations.
In the Gaza Strip alone, the military claims to have struck 19,530 targets, destroying approximately 13,910 pieces of infrastructure. These actions were part of a broad offensive that impacted residential areas and civilian facilities. The military further alleges that it eliminated four individuals holding the rank of brigade commander, 14 battalion commanders, and 53 company commanders.
The operation, which began in October 2023, continued for two years. During this period, cities and residential areas were systematically targeted, resulting in over 71,000 deaths, 171,000 injuries, and massive displacement of Palestinian civilians.
Reports indicate that hospitals, schools, and vital infrastructure were also targeted, highlighting what critics describe as a policy aimed at the complete devastation of Gaza. The Gaza Government Media Office stated that the Israeli military deployed over 200,000 tons of explosives, including internationally prohibited weapons such as 200-pound bombs, during the period.
