Djelfa, Algeria – A serious traffic accident on National Route 46 in Djelfa province resulted in injuries to eleven people this morning. The accident, attributed to icy road conditions, occurred in the Lellouai area, part of the Charef municipality.
According to a statement from the Civil Protection services, their units responded to the scene at approximately 6:25 AM local time. The incident involved two vehicles that veered off course and overturned due to the hazardous road conditions caused by ice formation.
The accident left eleven individuals with injuries ranging in severity. The injured, whose ages span from 3 to 53 years old, received immediate first aid at the scene from emergency responders. They were subsequently transported to a local hospital for further medical treatment.
