Algiers Tramway Announces New Operating Hours

Algiers, January 4, 2026 – Setram, the company responsible for operating and maintaining Algiers’ tramway lines, has announced new operating hours effective today, Sunday. The changes aim to optimize transportation flow and enhance service for passengers across the capital.

According to a company statement, the first tram departs from the El Annasser station at 5:30 AM, with the last tram leaving at 10:30 PM. Similarly, the first tram from Dergana station will also depart at 5:30 AM, while the last tram is scheduled for 10:00 PM.

For trips originating from El Annasser and heading towards the Mohamed Boudiaf (Mouhous) station, Setram confirmed that the final tram departs at 11:15 PM. This extended service caters to late-night commuters and aims to improve connectivity across the tramway network.

The company further stated that the waiting time between trams is estimated to be between 4 and 8 minutes. This frequency is designed to ensure a smoother and more efficient flow of passengers, minimizing congestion and improving the overall commuting experience.

Setram encourages passengers to familiarize themselves with the new schedule and plan their journeys accordingly. The company remains committed to providing a reliable and convenient public transportation option for the residents and visitors of Algiers.
