Heavy Thunderstorms Forecast for Several Algerian Provinces

Several provinces across Algeria are bracing for heavy thunderstorms today and tomorrow, with rainfall potentially reaching 40mm in some areas. The national weather service has issued a special weather advisory, cautioning residents in the affected regions to take necessary precautions.

The advisory indicates that the wilayas of Sidi Bel Abbes, Saida, Tiaret, Relizane, and Tissemsilt are expected to experience significant rainfall until 3:00 AM Wednesday. Residents in these areas should be prepared for localized flooding and potential disruptions to transportation.

A separate weather alert has been issued for several eastern and northeastern provinces. Jijel, Skikda, Annaba, El Tarf, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Setif, Mila, Constantine, Guelma, and Souk Ahras are also forecast to receive heavy, thundery showers. The rainfall is expected to continue from 9:00 AM today, Tuesday, through 9:00 AM Wednesday. Again, rainfall totals could reach up to 40mm in these areas.
