Algiers, Algeria – Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamel Baddari, convened a coordination meeting Sunday evening to finalize preparations for the official launch of the unified university portal. The meeting, held at the ministry headquarters, brought together key stakeholders via video conferencing, including the heads of regional university conferences from the Central, Western, and Eastern regions of Algeria.
According to a statement released by the Ministry, the meeting also included the Director of the National Polytechnic School of Architecture and Urbanism, the Director of the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies, and the Director of the National Agency for the Valorization of Research Results and Technological Development. Representatives from major universities, such as the University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene (USTHB), Constantine 3 University, and Abou Bekr Belkaid University of Tlemcen, were also in attendance.
The primary focus of the discussion was on pedagogical and research aspects related to the portal. Participants worked to define the final steps required for the launch of the unified window, which aims to streamline various university procedures for students and researchers. The portal is expected to significantly simplify administrative processes and enhance accessibility to university services.
The Minister emphasized the importance of this initiative in modernizing Algeria’s higher education system and improving the overall experience for students and faculty. This unified portal is a key component of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to leverage technology to enhance efficiency and transparency within the university sector.
The launch date for the portal is expected to be announced in the coming days. The Ministry is committed to ensuring a smooth transition and providing comprehensive support to all users of the new system.
