The People’s National Army (ANP) has released its operational report for the period of January 1st to 7th, 2026, detailing successful security operations against terrorism and organized crime across the country.
During separate operations, ANP detachments apprehended seven individuals providing support to terrorist groups. Furthermore, joint detachments, in coordination with security services, arrested 28 drug traffickers and foiled attempts to smuggle 387 kilograms of processed cannabis across the border.
Authorities also seized 4.4 kilograms of cocaine and 155,943 psychotropic tablets.
As part of the ongoing efforts to combat illicit activities, army detachments apprehended 208 individuals and seized 30 vehicles, 312 generators, and 192 pressure hammers. Additionally, quantities of raw gold and stone mixtures, along with equipment used in illegal gold mining, were confiscated.
In other operations, 14 individuals were arrested, and authorities seized an automatic pistol, a hunting rifle, and 29,527 liters of fuel. Seven quintals of tobacco and eight tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation were also seized in separate operations across the country.
These operations demonstrate the People’s National Army’s commitment to maintaining security and stability, and combating various forms of organized crime and terrorism, in coordination with various state services. The ANP continues its vigilance in safeguarding the nation and its citizens.
