Israeli Strikes Kill Three in Gaza Amid Truce Violations

Three Palestinians have been killed and seven others wounded in a series of Israeli air and ground attacks across the Gaza Strip on Saturday. The strikes targeted several cities and towns, marking a significant escalation in violations of the ceasefire agreement.

Medical sources in Gaza confirmed that two Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire in the eastern parts of Gaza City and Khan Younis. Al-Shifa Hospital reported receiving the body of a Palestinian man recovered from the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, who was reportedly targeted in an Israeli strike the previous day.

Reports indicate that Israeli warplanes conducted airstrikes targeting areas east of Rafah, Khan Younis, Deir al-Balah, and northern Gaza. A target in the northern part of the Strip was struck by an Israeli fighter jet, coinciding with helicopter fire towards eastern areas of Jabalia, according to local sources.

In the south, an Israeli warplane launched an airstrike on the city of Rafah, while Israeli army vehicles reportedly opened fire north of the city, which is under complete Israeli control.

UNRWA has stated that the Israeli military maintains a presence in over half of the Gaza Strip, extending beyond a vaguely defined boundary. The agency further noted that access to humanitarian aid, including assistance from UNRWA, as well as to public facilities, infrastructure, and agricultural land, remains severely restricted or prohibited.

These incidents are part of ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement, which came into effect on October 10th. According to the latest figures from the Gaza Ministry of Health, these violations have resulted in the deaths of over 424 Palestinians and injuries to 1,199 others.

The situation in Gaza remains tense and volatile, with continued concerns over the humanitarian crisis and the fragile nature of the ceasefire.
