Trade Ministry Urges Importers to Finalize Procedures Online

Algiers, January 12, 2026 – The Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion has issued an important call to economic operators who have submitted their provisional import programs (raw materials, goods intended for resale as is, or equipment) for the first half of 2026.

According to a ministry statement released today, Monday, operators whose provisional programs have been approved are required to immediately access their accounts via the dedicated digital platform to verify the processing status of their files.

The statement emphasized that the appearance of the word ‘Processed’ in the ‘Processing Status’ field indicates that the file has received final approval from the Ministry’s central services. This confirmation is a crucial step in the import process.

The Ministry urged operators who have confirmed that their files have been processed to directly contact the banking institutions they previously selected to complete the ‘bank domiciliation’ procedures. This step is a prerequisite for actual import operations, ensuring the supply of goods and equipment programmed for the current semester.

These measures are part of the modernization of the trade sector and aim to facilitate operations for both exporters and importers. The digital platform is designed to reduce administrative delays and enhance transparency in the granting of import licenses and the management of provisional programs, aligning with the economic objectives for the current year. The Ministry believes this streamlined process will contribute to a more efficient and transparent trade environment for all stakeholders.
